Work have ben piling up something awful around me lately so I tried to be strategic about choosing this week’s comic.
“Nightmare” fitted the bill, a simple and familar design and characters that wouldn’t challenge me one bit. And STILL I manage to fall behind schedule (never okay in my frame of references), people keep pouring in to the gallery – bastards! – and I’ve been feeling most fowl today, most fowl indeedy.
It’s teethgritting, but I think this one will be worth it, seeing how “Nightmare” is the most beloved cult movie in modern time (trumphed only by “Rocky Horror Picture Show“). So you stop being such a big fucking twat, put on your big girl pants and make the best of it. Also, adding in one greyish blue eye (Timmy) and one greyish green eye (me) in Sally’s chocolate box.
Necrofilia aside, this might be the cutest scene we’ve had the honour to depict yet.
Check out the details! Spidery roses, Jack’s cat tie and the literally heart-organ-shaped box of tasty eyes. This is enough to make anyone a believer in love; wherever you find it, however twisted, it’s still bloody beautiful.
