I thought we should kick off 2012 the same way we kicked of WIC in the beginning of May: with a black-and-white oldie and very much goldie.
It’s been almost ten years since I saw “Casablanca”, and the one memory that seems to cling is that I got really chocked when Ingrid Bergman started to hum a song in an very Swedish way. Up until then I hadn’t reflected over the fact that she was a Swede, the same way you don’t watch “The Dark Knight” and think “The Joker’s played by an Aussie!” the third time you see it. But then she started using these very Swedish sounds to sing “As time goes by” and you can’t help but to be awaken by a jolt.
