Timmy’s gone off skiing, and Anna’s consumed with vibrant artsy stuff, so here’s a little treat for your retinas. It’s no secret that we love Studio Ghibli, and Anna once combined this fervour with that of her relative’s child’s christening and made the best present ever.

OH MAN. You will not belive the things I had to goggle to bring you this. I found myself thinking “What will my grandchildren think of me? Did I really just google Miley Cyrus’ eyecolor OH SWEET OBI-WAN WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!”

But here you have it. It is done and I can’t take it back (unless I back-tie Timmy and hack in to his computer). I love the original “Breakfastclub” as much as I loathe this version, and I take great comfort that theactors/artists/things in my version are still quite young and that there’s still time for them to shape the hell up.

Oh wait, no there isn’t.

A sigh is a sigh

I thought we should kick off 2012 the same way we kicked of WIC in the beginning of  May: with a black-and-white oldie and very much goldie.

It’s been almost ten years since I saw “Casablanca”, and the one memory that seems to cling is that I got really chocked when Ingrid Bergman started to hum a song in an very Swedish way. Up until then I hadn’t reflected over the fact that she was a Swede, the same way you don’t watch “The Dark Knight” and think “The Joker’s played by an Aussie!” the third time you see it. But then she started using these very Swedish sounds to sing “As time goes by” and you can’t help but to be awaken by a jolt.
