Being a HUGE animation nerd, I’m gonna go all ’ga-ga’ on this one.

What this movie did was to prove to me that Dreamworks weren’t simply lucky with the first “Shrek” movie. There was actually some mighty fine talent in that studio, and Pixar shouldn’t get too cocky – and then “How to Train your Dragon” swept in and pinched my heart a couple of years later, confirming that same notion.

“Panda” really did everything better. The Dreamworks movies were always “kinda funny” and “kinda cute”, but this time it looked prettier, had genuis voice casting, wonderful music (John Powell <3) and a plot that actually had something to say. And what it said was: There are no secret recipies, no dragon scrolls and no magic fixes. There’s just you.

AND IT’S ‘EFFING GOOD ENOUGH EVEN IF YOU’RE A FATTY BEAR! Lovin’ it!
